What is Echocardiography?

Echocardiography is a form of ultrasound that uses sound waves to image the heart.

Echocardiography allows evaluation of the structures of the heart, the flow of blood through the heart and the size and function of the heart

When is Echocardiogram Recommended?

An echocardiogram may be recommended if a heart murmur or arrhythmia are heard on exam or if your pet is having signs of heart disease such as coughing, trouble breathing, or fainting type episodes

What is a Holter monitor?

A Holter monitor is a long term ECG that can be used to diagnose and monitor response to treatment for arrhythmias. TVC's Holter monitors record for 24 hours or as long as 2 weeks.

When is Holter Monitoring Recommended?

Holter monitors are recommended if an arrhythmia is heard or if your pet has signs of an arrhythmia such as weakness, collapsing episodes, or changes in exercise tolerance.
